About Dare Right

Hi! My name is Nina.

I chose Dare Right as my nom de plume for two reasons: 1. I have always loved the Lonely Doll books by Dare Wright, and 2. I want to learn to be daring in life, but I want to remember to be daring in the best ways, because not everything that is daring is good.

I am on a Quest to grow strong, be more independent, self-disciplined, hard working, diligent, determined, confident, adventurous, creative, bold. I want to conquer my timidity and learn to be full of moxie and spunk!

2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

  1. Good for you for writing this About page! Little stretches out of your comfort zone here and there, and before you know it you’ll be out of your box. The first step to change is being aware, and it looks like you are there already. I used to be a painfully shy individual, so I can relate to how you may be feeling.

Best wishes to you, and I’ll keep checking back in. I look forward to reading your very first post. I know that you can do it! 🙂

    • Hi! Thanks for checking in. I ended up deciding to wait until after summer to start blogging, and I was actually just working on my first post the other day. I should have it up by the end of next week. 🙂

  2. It sounds as though you are well on your way to fulfilling your Quest. These traits you speak of are all wonderful goals… and you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to as long as the will is there. 🙂

  3. An admirable Quest! I like the name of your blog, Setting the Bolder Course, and the name on your icon, Dare Right, and the scripture you give us: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Thank you for sharing your life quest with us! Blessings to you…

    • Thank you so much, Carol Ann! That scripture is one that is very close to my heart. I remind myself of it often in hopes that it will sink deeper and deeper in to the depths of my soul.

Thank you for joining me on my Quest! Blessings to you!
